Episcopal Service Corps

Position Descriptions vary by site and include co-teaching positions at St. James School in Philadelphia. Corps members serve up to 40 hours per week. Up to 8 hours a week is spent in personal and professional development as a team.

Service Activities

A broad range of activities in a variety of service agencies. Examples of activities that corps members would complete on a day to day basis might include case management, assisting in a middle school classroom, or teaching enrichment activities in an after school program.

Community Need Addressed

Our positions assist the partner agencies that we work with in providing a broader range of services they would not otherwise be able to provide without our corps members. Our corps members help support agencies that address community needs including homelessness, hunger, education inequity, food deserts, and community asset building.

Position Outcomes

Our corps members finish a year of service with a broader understanding of social issues, hands-on activities and a deeper sense of purpose in their life. Agencies that corps members serve are able to meet the identified needs in their community by increasing the number of people served and providing additional services.
