Youth Engagement AmeriCorps Member

We are looking for 12 dedicated individuals to serve as Youth Engagement AmeriCorps Members. AmeriCorps positions are available at multiple locations including Behind Every Door, the Dallas Public Library, and Kids-U.

Requirements:

-Age 17 or older
-US citizen or permanent resident
-Complete a minimum of 675 community service hours (approx. 20 hours/week)
-Available afternoons Mon- Fri approx. 2:00-6:00pm (depending on location, some Saturdays are required)
-Available September 10, 2018
-Must be available through May 25, 2019- no exceptions!

Benefits:

-$4,725 Total Living Allowance ($256 payment every two weeks)
-$2,255 Education Award, distributed after successful completion of the program and can be used for existing student loans or future education expenses like tuition and books
-Leadership experience in the service sector

Service Activities

Provide free meals and after-school programming for elementary and middle school students.
