We are a hunger relief organization hiring AmeriCorps members to earn money while serving their community!

Direct-to-Door is a mobile feeding program that provides summer meals to children Monday through Friday. Members will serve as part of a team who spend the day serving meals to children at apartment communities throughout the city.

Member Eligibility:

Available full-time, Monday through Friday.
17 or older
US Citizen or Permanent Resident (temporary work or student visa does not suffice)

Member Benefits:

$1,800-$3,000 Total Cash Stipend (divided into bi-weekly payments of $360-$600 before taxes)
$1,230-1,538 End of Term Education Award
Supportive Fun Service Environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $720.00 to $1,200.00 /month

Service Activities

Members gain valuable experience in non-profit programming by working in a team to lead pick-ups and sorting of food donations to distribute to families at low income apartment complexes around the DFW metroplex. Additionally, we need Members' help organizing special projects like coat and toy drives, healthy recipe cards for clients and compelling storytelling.

Position Outcomes

Reduce Hunger and Food Waste in Dallas by helping provide free groceries for families affected by poverty through our food recovery focused mobile food pantry. We are looking for dedicated individuals to serve as Hunger Relief AmeriCorps Members with our Direct-to-Door mobile food pantry.
