Description
Corps members camp and serve in the back country of Western Colorado. Corps members earn a weekly stipend, plus food and lodging when required to camp at project site. Career training takes place primarily in a back country setting and involves building and maintaining trails and fences, invasive species removal, and habitat restoration. Learn to camp, cook, orienteer, and live in a community setting. Corps members also have the opportunity to earn up to $2,960.00, in addition to a weekly stipend, from an AmeriCorps Education Award (restrictions apply). Member must not engage in any prohibited activities as listed in the AmeriCorps Member Service Agreement.
