Description

**THIS LISTING IS FOR APPLICANTS SEEKING TO SERVE AT A RESIDENTIAL CENTER WITH DORM STYLE HOUSING** If you are not interested in serving at one of our 8 residential centers, please see our non-residential listing.

The CCC is a one year, full time program that provides individuals aged 18-25 the opportunity to conserve California’s natural resources through hands on service. During their year of service, Corpsmembers work on environmental projects and respond to natural and man-made disasters.

Corpsmembers begin their service with a 1-2 week training before being assigned to a crew and starting their service projects. Corpsmembers make a significant impact on California’s environment through projects focusing on Natural Resource Conservation, Emergency Response and Mitigation, and Energy Conservation. Corpsmembers also have the opportunity to participate in special programs such as Culinary Arts, Wildland Firefighting, Back Country Trails, Australian Exchange Program, Watershed Stewards program, Internships and more.

Corpsmembers may also spend some afternoon and weekend hours working towards other program requirements such as education, professional development, or weekend volunteering. In addition to typical project assignments, Corpsmembers may also serve on remote work projects for up to 8 days away from their center, or emergency response deployments for up to 21 days away from their center.

The CCC offers the opportunity to live at one of 8 residential facilities throughout the state of California. While living at a residential facility you’ll share a dorm with 2-4 roommates of the same identified gender and will have shared shower and living spaces. You’ll be provided with prepared meals, and will have access to center amenities. While living at a residential center, 400$ will be deducted from your monthly pay check automatically to cover room and board.

**Due to a high influx of interested candidates, we are currently only accepting applications from California residents. We appreciate your interest in the CCC and encourage you to check back with us in the future. We hope to have more openings in the coming months. If you are currently not living in California, but plan on moving to California soon, please let us know so we can connect you with a local Recruiter. You are also welcome to follow our Backcountry Trails program, which will be open to out of state applicants starting late 2018, for their next season. To find out more about the Backcountry Trails program, visit: https://ccc.ca.gov/what-we-do/conservation-programs/backcountry-trails-program/ **
