Description

Dudley Promise Corps (DPC) is a neighborhood-based AmeriCorps service program serving in one of BPE’s two Teaching Academies, Dearborn STEM Academy or Dudley Street School. DPC members provide students with the extra support needed to ensure their academic success and to prepare them to be leaders in Boston and beyond.

As a Dudley Promise Corps Member you will,
-Tutor students in literacy, math, and/or science in small groups or one-on-one (training provided)
-Leverage your own passions to enhance student’s learning experience
-Participate in professional development opportunities that support your own career exploration

Benefits
Beyond access to training and professional development, DPC members are eligible to receive the following benefits:
-Education award upon successful completion of service ($6,895)
-Health insurance coverage
-Living stipend paid bi-monthly ($20,000 pre-tax)
-Student loan forbearance (may be eligible)
-Food Assistance/SNAP benefit eligibility
-Childcare assistance (if eligible)

Eligibility
-Be at least 17 years of age
-Hold a high school diploma or GED by the start of the program
-Be a US citizen or legal permanent resident
-Agree to state & federal background check
