Community Engagement VISTA

Focuses for our VISTA will include:

• Promoting national service opportunities in Southern Arizona by planning and attending outreach events, developing recruitment materials, and increasing our social media presence.
• Identifying community partners that may help us reach the right members and establish AZCC as a vital resource to address community needs.
• Assisting with grant proposals to help ensure our VISTA and other programs are sustainable
• Furthering our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts through community outreach, partnership development, active recruitment, goal setting, and grant writing
• Engaging with our community by conducting needs assessments, mapping assets, and building relationships with community partners such as schools, non-profits, civic organizations, local businesses, and our alumni

Service Activities

VISTA position will be focused on capacity building within the Tucson community.

Community Need Addressed

This VISTA position is a yearlong volunteer service position focused on capacity building within the local Tucson Community and provide many opportunities for professional development.

Position Outcomes

Greater community recognition and stronger relationships with other local organizations, groups and under-served communities.
