The Arc of Palm Beach County AmeriCorps Program

The Arc of Palm Beach County envisions a community where every person feels welcome, connected and accepted. We are changing the conversation around disabilities by defying definitions, inspiring possibilities and improving the lives of the people we serve, their families and our community.

• About Us
  AmeriCorps Members at the Arc of Palm Beach County mentor individuals with developmental disabilities in pre-employment, job specific training as well as develop job readiness, employment soft skills, explore job opportunities, and vocational training. Members also create independent living goals and track of progress and plan/coordinate activities that engage individuals with developmental disabilities in the local community creating community inclusion.
• Our Impact
  The AmeriCorps program at the Arc of Palm Beach County served over 100 individuals with developmental disabilities in vocational skills as well as healthy life skills in the 2018-2019 year. AmeriCorps members saw an increase of knowledge in over 85 percent in both subject areas overall. AmeriCorps members also volunteered along 126 other volunteers in the community during their service year.
