Hope Squad is a school-based peer-to-peer suicide prevention program that helps students and staff recognize other students who are struggling, in order to provide them with the help they need.

Service Activities

Coordinate: work to bring Hope Squad into several schools in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, and Okanogan Counties
Facilitate training of identified school staff and students from Hope Squad facilitators/trainers.
Communicate: with all partners that are involved in the planning and implementation process of Hope Squad. Report to Executive Director. A detailed description of activities
The AmeriCorps member will work with middle and high school students and their Hope Squad advisors within Chelan, Douglas, Grant, and Okanogan Counties.

Position Outcomes

Prevent substance use, bullying, violence, crime, and suicide for those under the age of 18. We partner with school districts, individual schools, and a diverse range of community organizations to provide a spectrum of programs to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
