Colleges and universities across the country recognize the value of a service year experience. Many schools match the AmeriCorps Segal Education Award, provide special scholarships, or award credit for service year experiences.

Advocate

Alums play a critical role in advocating for national service by sharing their perspective and experience.

AmeriCorps Alums is now part of Service Year Alliance

AmeriCorps Alums is the only national network that connects the over one million alumni of all AmeriCorps programs to resources that support their lifetime of service. AmeriCorps is federally funded and the largest service year umbrella program, offering opportunities with three main types of service year programs: AmeriCorps State and National, AmeriCorps VISTA, and AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps). Service Year Alliance officially acquired AmeriCorps Alums in March 2018.
