Alpine Achievers Initiative supports the positive development of youth and young adults by lifting them through academic achievement and grounding them in their wilderness heritage.

• About Us
  Alpine Achievers Initiative (AAI) works in the beautiful San Luis Valley, in Rural, Southern Colorado. AAI operates with the support of a team of AmeriCorps members in the San Luis Valley of southern Colorado.
  
  AAI AmeriCorps members deliver evidence-based academic interventions in math and literacy and high quality out-of-school-time (OST) programs for economically disadvantaged youth.
• Our Impact
  During the 2016-2017 school year 3 out of school programs at Mountain Valley School, Crestone School District and Mountain Valley Schools were facilitated by AAI. Programs were provided after school Monday – Thursday, Full day programs were provided on Fridays and alternative break programs were provided during the winter and spring breaks. During programs healthy meals were provided. In addition to independently run programs – AAI supported the Alamosa Boys and Girls Club and High Valley Community Center out of school programs. Members provided invaluable program support. In total, each program received over 150 days of support, over 2,600 healthy snacks or meals were provided and over 1000 youth in the San Luis Valley supported.
