Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Teaching Fellows Program forms passionate college graduates from nearly all academic majors and faith traditions to serve children and families as teachers in under-resourced Catholic schools. Throughout the two year fellowship, our teachers have the opportunity to grow as leaders, while earning a cost-free Master of Education degree from Notre Dame, and to joyfully share their faith in the communities in which they live and work.

College graduates from all academic backgrounds are eligible to apply. Learn more about how your talents can make a difference at http://ace.nd.edu/teach.

  • About Us
The Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Teaching Fellows program responds to a call to prepare highly committed teachers for under-resourced Catholic schools around the nation. ACE Teachers bring imagination and zeal to help strengthen Catholic schools and empower marginalized children as they work to bring life and hope to communities in need.

Since its founding in 1993, ACE has formed over 1,800 ACE Teachers—75 percent of whom remain in education to this day, while many others have gone on to successful careers in medicine, law, business, engineering, and the academy. Representing undergraduate institutions throughout the United States and abroad, ACE Teachers are formed through an innovative M.Ed. program that promotes best practice in instruction and assessment, the development of vibrant Christian community, and a commitment to spiritual growth. These three pillars—forming professional educators, building community, and growing spiritually—inform, inspire, and mobilize ACE Teachers throughout their time in the classroom and beyond.
  • Our Impact
Our teachers serve at the elementary, middle, and high school level in the country's most under-resourced Catholic schools across 34 cities. By forming a new generation of committed, faith-filled Catholic school teachers, ACE aspires to sustain and strengthen Catholic education. ACE Teachers are eligible for loan deferment and an AmeriCorps Legal Education Award (~$6,000 towards past or future loans) in addition to receiving a living stipend, affordable housing with other teachers, ample opportunities for spiritual growth and professional mentorship.
