Support YWCA Tri-County Area Equity and Racial Justice initiatives and opportunities for advocacy in the Greater Pottstown area. The Equity and Racial Justice Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Advocacy/Volunteer Manager. In cooperation with volunteers and staff, the Equity and Racial Justice Coordinator’s primary focus and responsibility is executing YWCA racial justice strategy, creating a culture of inclusivity, to ensure sustained execution for mission related programs; providing opportunities to help the YWCA fulfill its mission; creating relationships with donors, constituents, and volunteers, raising the profile of the YWCA in the community.
The ideal candidate is detailed-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable with topics around equity and inclusion. Support the Advocacy team with strategic planning, action plans, meeting facilitation, policy, research, practices, data collection, training/education, and other areas to achieve goals set for advancement of racial equity and inclusion. It is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level person with an interest in working in the non-profit sector to develop an understanding on how programs are supported to achieve an equity fighting mission.
