WSC AmeriCorps members will serve with non-profits, government agencies and faith-based organizations to help address specific issues within local communities across Washington State.

Service Activities

WSC AmeriCorps members will:
- provide tutoring, training and mentoring to adults and youth;
- provide outreach to low-income and immigrant communities;
- connect individuals to community assistance and resources;
- collect data on attendance and knowledge gain of those trained;
- recruit and manage community volunteers.

Community Need Addressed

Youth falling behind in education; long-term unemployment; lack of financial literacy skills; local environmental conservation and education; disaster preparedness education; nutrition education; access to food and health resources.

Position Outcomes

Individuals will improve their knowledge, skills or behaviors; environmental habitat will be improved.
