WSC AmeriCorps members will provide training in workplace readiness skills, ABE, ESL, basic computer skills and financial literacy to economically disadvantaged individuals who need assistance in entering or re-entering the workforce, as well as provide one-on-one assistance with resume' writing and applying for jobs. They will also serve in programs that assist those who are disabled, homeless or living in poverty by connecting them to resources that will help them build a foundation of economic stability.
WSC AmeriCorps members will:
- provide tutoring, training and mentoring to adults and youth;
- provide outreach to low-income and immigrant communities;
- connect individuals to community assistance and resources;
- collect data on attendance and knowledge gain of those trained;
- recruit and manage community volunteers.
