Volunteer Florida

In 1994, Volunteer Florida was established in Florida Statute to administer AmeriCorps funding. Now, Volunteer Florida distributes over $43 million in federal, state and local funding for multiple national service programs, including AmeriCorps, while promoting volunteerism throughout Florida. Volunteer Florida is also the state’s lead agency for emergency management, mobilizing volunteers and coordinating donations before, during and after disasters. Ultimately, Volunteer Florida exists to engage Floridians, transform communities and make Florida a better place to live.
