Our VISTA Team leader will take be an integral part of the national service program here at United Way of Greenville County supporting our 9 person VISTA team.

The team lead will serve as an Ambassador of National Service for United Way of Greenville County programs. Leader will do this by bringing awareness to the program by creating a social media plan, creating press release and media invites to days of service and other service activities that warrant media coverage, create a newsletter for members and or partner agencies, and coordinate and attend recruiting fairs.

Team leader will serve as a facilitator/educator for VISTA Bridges team members. This will include assessing the needs of the VISTA team, scheduling dates and times for members to meet, working with program staff to solidify speaker for leadership developments, coordinate and an end of year job fair or informational interviews to help members for life after service.

Team lead will work with program staff to provide support to the VISTA team. This includes, scheduling site visits with partner sites, providing space for members to connect with one another, and serve as an extra resource to members as they are at partner sites.

Develop sustainability plan for existing staff to continue the infrastructure created throughout the year.

Signature volunteer opportunities, focused on community impact and nonprofit capacity building, provide collective volunteerism for nonprofits that alleviate poverty and support financial stability locally. A member would work to maximize central technology usage to build capacity to capture individual volunteer data. 1) Develop results based data capture solutions in conjunction with internal volunteer engagement team and data team and the volunteer database vendors. 2) Develop training module for stakeholders and provide ongoing stakeholder support to increase individual volunteer data capture. 4) Implement data capture solutions.

Develop and execute timeline and communications plan for signature volunteer experiences with collective Impact partners to promote efficiency. 1) Identify current timeline and communications challenges. 2) Develop revised timeline and communications plan and process. 4) Implement revised timeline and communications plan and process.

Measuring the impact of engagement experiences for individuals and companies provides an opportunity to build capacity for nonprofits. A VISTA member would research and document best practices in surveys and evaluations to measure the impact of the engagement experiences for individuals and companies. 1) Research best practices in surveys and evaluations. 2) Research and document technology solutions for surveys and evaluations 3) Identify engagement experiences and corporate partners to implement surveys and evaluations. 4) Work collaboratively with UWGC staff to implement surveys. 5) Evaluate data to measure individual and corporate impact and identify opportunities to enhance and improve engagement experiences and build capacity for nonprofits.
