Description

Up2Us Sports is a coalition of more than 1,390 nonprofit organizations that believe in the power of sports to fight childhood obesity, end academic failure, and reduce gang participation. Up2Us Sports’ flagship program is Up2Us Coach, a national coach/mentor program that places, trains, and supports coaches to provide meaningful experiences to youth in a variety of sports programs nationwide. More than 1,800 coaches have provided opportunities for more than 284,000 youth to be active, learn skills, and stay out of trouble through sports.

Street Soccer USA builds life changing community based sports programs that reach the least served communities across the United States. By creating safe places to play and supplying trained, caring coaches, social service coordinators, our curriculum and basic equipment, Street Soccer USA improves the personal capacity of participants to achieve bigger goals in terms of education and employment.

Our character education and life skills programs help participants prepare for success at school, at home and in their community. Our curriculum framework is tailored with age appropriate and situation specific content for every scenario.

*Added bonus! We invite all our coaches to join in and play for free in the SSUSA I PLAY FOR Adult Soccer League in San Francisco. We strongly value the relationships built among our coaches, staff members and volunteers. We believe it is important to spend quality time both on and off the soccer pitch to foster a special community of support.
