Description

Join the United Way for a year of service in the greater Boston area. This program provides members with an opportunity to serve English language learners through tutoring and mentoring services. You will also gain the skills necessary to be successful community builders, educators, and advocates. In addition to the direct service, members of the North Shore AmeriCorps program gain access to professional development opportunities within the vast United Way network.

United Way of Massachusetts Bay plays a prominent role in the Massachusetts non-profit landscape. AmeriCorps members in the NSAP program immediately gain access to this vast network of non-profits and community partners, including networking and additional professional development opportunities. The ideal candidate for this position is someone passionate about making positive change in their community, while also looking for opportunities in the non-profit and public sectors after their year of service. United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley serves as a bridge for AmeriCorps members, with nearly 200 community partners and working relationships with an array of government entities.
