My life has gone through a complete upheaval. For the last 15 wonderful years, I have been a mother to a special needs child. My son was diagnosed with a severe seizure disorder at 5 months of age and severe autism at 5 years. We struggled together to not only keep him alive but to give him the best quality of life. I fought for him to be in the best therapies and classes, to have the best doctors. I taught him to speak, to read, to learn to forgive people who didn’t understand. June 8th 2019 my son passed away after failing to breathe during a seizure. I’m lost without him. I don’t know anything else but to take care of things. I want to do something that matters. Something I can be proud of like I was proud of being my sons mother.
