The VISTA Community Partnerships Coordinator will ensure our new, member-led employment program is successful and sustainable by: creating and implementing a marketing plan; forming new employer partnerships; supporting both new and existing relationships within the community; monitoring and evaluating the employment program for success; ensuring internal and external communications are engaging, informative, and on-mission. Day-to-day service follows a normal office schedule, and those who seek to build community-driven solutions are encouraged to apply.

Clubhouse strives to be a direct reflection of the needs and skills of our members and staff, and all programs and projects at the Clubhouse strive to be member-led. AmeriCorps members serving with San Antonio Clubhouse build capacity in education, economic development, and healthy futures, and provide support for our myriad programs, ranging from the Clubhouse Career program to the Hydroponic Urban Growth farm. Living Allowance

$1100 - $1200 monthly

Additional Benefits

This position is a 12 month, full-time service commitment. Members receive free health benefits including some counseling, as well as one-on-one coaching, monthly professional development opportunities, and training in areas like project management, community engagement, and other topics. At the end of their service, members may choose to receive the Segal Education Award ($6,345) to be used towards loans or future schooling, or a cash stipend ($1,800). AmeriCorps allows members to build their professional expertise while also advancing their own aspirations in the education and non-profit worlds. Upon successful completion of their service year, VISTA members receive Non-Competitive Eligibility (NCE) for federal employment, which allows a VISTA member who meets the minimum qualifications for a job to be hired by a federal agency without having to compete with the general public. Additionally, members who are moving more than 50 miles to serve as a VISTA are eligible to receive a relocation and settling-in allowance to assist with moving expenses.
