Description

LCCT VISTA Development & Communications Coordinator will engage in systems-building and storytelling to manage coalition relationships and build community engagement. The VISTA will assess and implement changes to the Literacy Coalition’s fundraising management system – we use Salesforce. The VISTA will ensure that the Salesforce system can be used sustainably for grant, donor, volunteer, and partner tracking and management by developing process manuals in collaboration with staff. The VISTA will also build community engagement by creating compelling content for the Literacy Coalition’s external communications platforms. Posting on social media, writing newsletters and blogs, and creating volunteer opportunities. Skills necessary to excel are communication, collaboration, and independent initiative. The VISTA will be supported, coached, and respected as they learn valuable transferrable skills through their service work. Spanish writing ability and Salesforce or other CRM experience are a plus.

This is a full-time (40hrs a week), 12-month service term with the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas VISTA Initiative Program. Members receive a modest living allowance.
