Our teachers are full-time, fully salaried educators working in PreK-12 schools.

• All professional backgrounds and majors are encouraged to apply
• Two-year teaching commitment (PreK-12, all subjects)
• Full salary and benefits- up to $56,000 salary
• Need-based funding for relocation and transition
• Intensive training provided
• teaching credential/Masters of ed program
• $11,500 Education Award

Service Activities

Corps members lead classrooms as full-time teachers. Specific activities are dependent on grade-level and subject matter.

As corps members, they receive training, coaching, and support and have the chance to make a positive impact in the lives of their students as full-time, salaried teachers hired by principals and valued by parents. As alumni, they apply this first-hand experience to tackle educational inequity from every angle – inside schools and out. Together with colleagues of all backgrounds, they join a dynamic movement proving what’s possible – for kids, for a life of impact, for the future we share.

Position Outcomes

Expand your leadership abilities. Improve opportunities for kids. You can have an impact leading a classroom in one of our 52 urban and rural regions nationwide. In 2016-2017, nearly 9,800 corps members are teaching in low-income communities to provide more opportunities for kids. Join them in the 2017 corps.
