Description

All of our positions are based in Sunset Park, a low-income neighborhood with a diverse population of recent immigrants from Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Family Health Centers at NYU Langone is centered on the belief that all adults deserve access to free, high-quality basic education and health services to help them achieve their goals.

AmeriCorps members, reflecting the National Focus Areas of both economic opportunity and healthy futures, provide critically needed services to our community. Members will increase access to services for Sunset Park youth and families to improve family self-sufficiency. Member roles will fall into two basic categories: youth development and family support. This includes outreach and advocacy, enhancement of youth services, case management, and referral, and educational and vocational services.
