Help refugees rebuild their lives and livelihoods as they become new Vermonters. The USCRI and Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program opens doors for uprooted people, helping the world’s most vulnerable rebuild their lives. Two different positions with the following roles: Community Partnerships: help build community partnerships through outreach, volunteer recruitment, and fundraising. Role may include grant opportunities research; public education and events; and communication with community organizations. Education and Employment: help identify and develop opportunities for refugee education, employment, and self-sufficiency; expand/refine English Language Learning and employment services through program development. Role may include grant research; public presentations; and development of trainings.
The SerVermont VISTA Program is a comprehensive umbrella project that welcomes host sites tackling a wide array of poverty related issues in Vermont. We place members in organizations and state agencies to fight poverty across the state by increasing education and job-training opportunities, fighting the opioid epidemic creating more food-secure communities, increasing safe and affordable housing, and serving veterans and military families. Our VISTAs build and strengthen systems in order to increase their sites capacity to provide these services to those who need them most.
