SAGA transforms the lives of at-risk students giving them the skills, the attention and the self-esteem they need to achieve. Through our high-dosage, in-school tutoring model, SAGA Fellows work in a Chicago public high school, tutoring a cohort of 14 students in algebra and geometry for one academic year. SAGA tutorials occur every day as part of the student's regular school day as a graded course for credit in addition to all other courses, including math. The tutorials are conducted in groups of 1 tutor: 2 students at a time, allowing for the students to receive daily individualized instruction.
