About the organization:
The Covenant House of Alaska has served homeless Alaskan youth with a sixty-bed crisis shelter and wrap around services that consists of street outreach, ongoing education, a drop in services center, an emergency shelter, and a primary care clinic. The Covenant House will engage a cohort of five VISTA Members to improve their systems, processes, and programs that benefit homeless youth.
About Your Role:
During the year of service the VISTA member will
1. Serve to expand the breadth and depth of job training and placement services that are available to homeless Alaskan youth.
2. Expand community partnerships in both job placement and training.
3.Aid in the development of new programs, were a gap has been identified.
