Description
In the summer of 2018, the Anchorage Community Land Trust partnered with the Catholic Social Services RAISE program to construct a 28,000 square foot urban farm. The farm is intended to be a urban agriculture space and incubator, allowing low-income community members to grow produce and sell it on site. The VISTA service member will work with the community and Catholic Social Services to identify users of the space, create a management structure for the farm that allows for long-term sustainability, and build a pipeline connecting farmers to the Anchorage Community Land Trusts programs for low-income business owners.
