Description

The AmeriCorps VISTA member will work with the RurAL CAP team and Native American Villages to create programs that have a direct positive effect on the villages’ local economy. These programs will be created by conducting a needs-based assessment of the local community and analyzing the community’s resources. From this, the VISTA member will present their findings to the local community and use the information gathered to develop concrete solutions that are catered to the community’s unique needs. Once the program has been developed, the VISTA will work with the VISTA that would be training the next VISTA on how to implement the program, thereby ensuring the success of the program.
