Teen Coordinator

Description: Plan and coordinate new and existing programs and events for kids in grades 6-12.

Examples of Duties:
1. Research, plan, and implement all activities for kids in 6-12 grades.
2. Develop a relationship with students and staff to foster a positive learning environment.
3. Coordinate and execute weekly Teen Night (includes preparing meal), Teen Empowerment Program (tutors and mentors) and all social events.
4. Assist with special events sponsored by the Multicultural Family Center.
5. Participate in service projects outside of the assigned placement.
6. Attend AmeriCorps team meetings and mandatory trainings.

Typical Qualifications: Desire to work with teenagers; experience working with pre-teens and teenagers preferred. Must be very organized, highly motivated and enjoy working with teenagers. Must be able to enforce rules of the Multicultural Family Center, while being sensitive to the needs of each individual.
