Description

The Child Development AmeriCorps Member will serve at Our House’s child development center, called Little Learners which serves 60 children ages 6 weeks-5 years old. This particular listing is for our Preschool 3 and 4-5 classrooms that are led by a lead Teacher. This particular member will rotate between the two rooms to help plan and implement activities for the children, ensure the safety of all children in the program, and create an enriching, fun and safe environment for the children helping them to meet their developmental goals and be Kindergarten-ready. You have flexibility with the activities you implement (our current AmeriCorps members focused on their interests in French and in storytelling and they also just completed a photo project for Black History Month recreating photos of famous African-American artists).
