Providing service at both our Education and Art Center and our Resale store, the Communication Coordinator will build capacity within the program to provide the support, skills, and resources volunteers need to be successful in providing education and art to the community, and to increase the access of children and families to community resources. The Communication Coordinator will help with curriculum in our art-as-therapy classes, GED classes, and the upscale resale store. They will support the vision and mission of The READ Center and facilitate both internal and external communication, demonstrating a service-oriented work ethic that promotes teamwork, service, and participation. The goal of the program is to strengthen and build the capacity of our community and to reach more children, youth, and families by providing secondary needs such as education, art-as-therapy, and after school youth programs.
