The member will serve as on-site Student Academic Support Specialist to recruit, train, place, support, and monitor volunteer academic tutors. The Support Specialist will match the volunteer with high school students who are struggling in math, science and English Language Arts, yet willing to work to succeed. Serve as a liaison with the content departments on the content and scheduling of one-to-one tutoring, which includes homework help, test preparation, and basic skills strengthening. Foster relationships with students so they attend tutoring with consistency, track student performance, and administer assessments to guide basic skills development and results. On occasion, provide direct academic skills help to students.
