6th Judicial Specialty Courts Specialty Court Treatment Case Manager

The Specialty Court Treatment Case Manager will be responsible for assisting clinical staff to enhance existing services for families exposed to substance use. Service enhancements will encompass services outside the clinical scope and may include, but are not limited to: assistance coordinating care across offices, referrals to community agencies, employment referrals and assistance, financial education, and help applying for public assistance.

Service Activities

• Identifies, outreaches, and recruits eligible program participants and volunteers
• Delivers local community presentations on program services
• Collects, organizes, and analyzes information about program participants through records, tests, interviews, and professional sources
• Meets with clients to determine suitability for program participation and develops individualized case plans
• Assist in the preparation and completion of reports, as required by the Agency
• Active participation in community meetings
• Attend court and other meetings as required
• Respects confidentiality in discussing participant/consumer, staff, volunteers and organizational matters

Community Need Addressed

The AmeriCorps Member activities will address the needs of community members and their families struggling with substance abuse. The Member will assist the clients in getting connected with valuable community resources to improve their success in the program and meet the need of their family.

This will add value to the courts by expanding the services we are able to provide. Currently, drug court members don't have a case manager who can help them gain access to these much needed community services.

Position Outcomes

Increase the number of drug court members receiving access to community agencies and public assistance.
