The Salish Kootenai College (SKC) Upward Bound program is a federally funded TRIO program designed to provide low-income, first-generation high school students with the skills and motivation necessary for success in postsecondary education.

Service Activities

As an AmeriCorps member, you will assist individual students and small groups in preparing for college. Your activities will include college application assistance, ACT preparation, and FAFSA support. Through one-on-one mentorship, you will help students succeed in their studies and prepare for the future.

Community Need Addressed

To increase postsecondary attainment, college access preparation in addition academic mentoring are needed.
