Service Activities

MTCC AmeriCorps VISTA members perform needs assessments, manage databases, write grants, design programs, foster partnerships, and more! Service activities may depend upon a specific placement and may extend to different responsibilities related to the foundational integrity of an organization.

Community Need Addressed

Increasing partnerships between community organizations and institutions of higher education. Developing the capacity of programs that increase college access and attainment and/or reduce rates of poverty.

Position Outcomes

Your service will strengthen nonprofit and educational infrastructure in the state of Montana, build organizational capacity, and leverage greater resources to help alleviate poverty in Montana communities.

MTCC AmeriCorps members participate in a cohort of up to 40 AmeriCorps State and AmeriCorps VISTA members. Trainings throughout the year convene the cohort for professional development and meaningful connection, and bi-weekly virtual gatherings keep members connected to each other and the foundation of their service.
