Description

Members teach Group Lifestyle Balance classes, a year long program that targets Pre-Diabetes patients to help them change their lifestyle in order to stop the onset of Diabetes. You also will be leading Chronic Disease Self-Management /Diabetes Self-Management Programs which are 6-week programs and help those with chronic diseases to learn to self-manage their health issues. As a Community Health Education Resource Person (CHERP) you will be certified with skills to answer basic questions about health, disease, nutrition, physical activity and health behaviors to help community members develop a healthier lifestyle. Multi-facet physical activities will be used to increase physical activity of community members.

Additional Benefits

Year long positions open: Minimum time = 300 hours Quarter time = 450 hours Reduced Part time = 675 hours Part-time = 900 hours Full time = 1700 hours Full-time members may qualify for health insurance coverage and/or child care assistance.
