The mission of Communities in Action and Montana Public Health Corps is to provide a structured community platform and foster partnerships to improve quality of life in Richland County.

  • About Us
Richland County Communities in Action has been in place for over a decade, working through Action Groups to address community needs and build a healthy community.

Richland County Communities in Action began to unite community efforts and to increase the quality of life in Richland County. This program and its Action Groups envision Richland County as being a healthy, clean and safe place for families and individuals to grow.

The people who make up these Action Groups come from diverse backgrounds all working together on a shared goal. New members are always welcome.

Montana Public Health Corps is the supporting AmeriCorps organization to Richland County's Communities in Action Program.
  • Our Impact
Montana Public Health Corps addresses the needs of rural, frontier, and tribal communities in Eastern Montana through program development and community outreach. AmeriCorps members develop and provide resources and toolkits, such as Mental Health First Aid, pocket sized resource cards, drug prevention activities for youth, and community support through various volunteer opportunities, just to name a few. AmeriCorps members support small town public health departments as they strive to improve the quality of life for the residents in the communities they serve.
