I know volunteering is the best way I can serve my country as well as my own beliefs. Everyone should do it at least once in their life. I have, and since then, the rest is history. To meet new people and explore is just few of the grand things that are beneficial to serving.
I have been volunteering since high school back in 2013. I joined the military after graduation, but was ultimately discharged due to my lower back. I couldn't serve the US as I wanted to, so I had hoped to have found an alternative. Luckily after a couple of years, I found AmeriCorps NCCC in Baltimore, MD. Since then, I have been dedicating my time and energy to serve with such amazing people who live for the same purpose and vision as I do.
