St. Mary’s Health Center provides free primary health care and free access to labs, radiology, diagnostic testing, health education, cancer prevention screenings and inpatient hospitalization through St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System to patients whose income falls 200% below the federal poverty level. The clinic is staffed by nurse practitioners. A volunteer is needed as a nurse or administrative assistant. As a Registered Nurse the volunteer would triage patients, administer injections, perform new patient assessments, and document care in the electronic medical record. As an administrative assistant the volunteer would answer phones and schedule appointments, assist with new patient intake, and coordinate and monitor patient referrals to specialty care.
