Description

As a richly diverse Christian community in Northwest Detroit, Christ the King School serves K-8 students in core academic areas and extracurriculars with a commitment to restorative justice. Teachers strive to address the needs of the whole child by meeting them where they are and helping them grow in faith and knowledge. A volunteer is needed to serve as either an elementary self-contained classroom teacher or a middle school subject teacher. Middle school teachers will teach math/science, English/language arts, or social studies/religion depending on their area of expertise. A second volunteer is needed as a marketing and development manager to oversee the website and social media accounts and assist with fundraising efforts.
