Description

AmeriCorps Excellence in STEM (ACES) is based out of Wolfson Campus and offers STEM tutoring and study skills support to underserved high school and/or and college students in the Miami community.

Members commit to 1 year of service and are dedicated to building strong relationships with students. They assess the knowledge, study skills, and emotional factors that inhibit students from succeeding in their STEM courses; and develop a strategy for progress. Members create their own schedule to fit 675 hours for the 2020 year (15 hours/week). We are currently partnered with Miami Jackson Senior High School and iTECH at Thomas A. Educational Center.
