Members in this position will be responsible for assisting clients with various services and skills to increase their self-sufficiency in income and employment. Positions will vary across sites, but these activities include but are not limited to: resume building, job searching and application, interview preparation, education connections, mainstream benefit applications and referrals, and budgeting assistance.

Service Activities

Members will directly serve clients in the areas of employment and financial opportunity. The daily activities may include one-on-one meetings our group classes with clients for the topics of employment (job searches, resume building, interview preparation) as well as financial self-sustainability (budgeting, benefits referrals). Daily activities will also include research on available resources for clients and data entry.

Community Need Addressed

The Resource Generation and Management position will serve individuals experiencing or at-risk of homelessness by assisting with activities to increase their self-sufficiency in the areas of income, life skills, and employment.

Position Outcomes

As a result of this position, those served should be able to increase their self-sufficiency, therefore becoming more likely to obtain and maintain safe, affordable housing. These services include resume building, job searches and applications, mainstream benefit applications and referrals, interview preparation, and budgeting skills among others.
