Description
An LVC volunteer is placed in a full-time position at one of our placement sites. There are various positions related to each non-profit, and our volunteers assume the roles and responsibilities of the position for which they are hired.
Assisting recently arrived asylum seekers, focused primarily on intake, triaging needs, resource linkage, and engaging in AWE's comprehensive programs. This includes but is not limited to helping asylum-seekers to access resources through scheduling and accompanying them on appointments and to immigration hearings. Build resources and opportunities particularly for mothers with young children. Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
