Description

Lutheran Volunteer Corps is a full-time service and leadership program operating in cities across the U.S. Our mission: to unite people to work for peace with justice. We do this by placing approximately 50 Volunteers in full-time positions at social justice organizations. Year Volunteers live together in intentional community, practicing simple and sustainable living, while exploring spirituality. LVC offers housing for yearlong service, modest stipend, health insurance, and paid vacation time.

This position: The Grant Writer serves in a capacity-building position, raising financial support for the Ministry of Caring's network of programs. This volunteer completes applications for corporate, foundation, and government grants. Additional duties include: research to identify new sources of funding, collaboration on fundraising strategy with development staff, and departmental administration. The Grant Writer will also experience direct service one day/per week at one of the Ministry of Caring's program sites.
