Description

Lutheran Volunteer Corps is a full-time service and leadership program operating in cities across the U.S. Our mission: to unite people to work for peace with justice. We do this by placing approximately 50 Volunteers in full-time positions at social justice organizations. Year Volunteers live together in intentional community, practicing simple and sustainable living, while exploring spirituality. LVC offers housing for yearlong service, modest stipend, health insurance, and paid vacation time.

The Program Fellow plays an integral role on the program team, engaging in a wide range of administrative, operational,
and program-related activities. This position reports weekly to the Manager of Education. The Program Fellow would be
based at Calvary’s Good Hope Transitional Housing Program located on Good Hope Road, SE

• Program Fellow will work closely with the Workforce Development staff on the Step UP DC Program.
• Assist job seekers with drafting resumes, cover letters, and business correspondence
• Program Fellow will collaborate closely with the Manager of Education and Programs Manager on the Life Skills, Education
and Arts Program.
• Support volunteer leaders who lead the LEAP classes
• The Program Fellow will work closely with the Assistant Program Manager at Calvary’s Good Hope Transitional Housing

• Assist with the intake of new residents into the program
