• About Us
  Keystone SMILES AmeriCorps places members in community agencies and school districts to provide support programs which address community and educational needs. More specifically, in schools, members serve in a full time capacity serving students who are identified as at risk, economically disadvantaged and/or have special or exceptional needs providing one-on-one or small group tutoring and service-learning programs. Members placed in community agencies provide after-school and summer youth programs focusing on academic engagement programs such as STEM , service-learning and healthy lifestyles.
• Our Impact
  Keystone SMILES AmeriCorps is dedicated to strengthening communities and sharing resources to provide people of all ages an opportunity to put "learning into action" through the teaching methodology service-learning. Since 1994, Keystone SMILES AmeriCorps has enrolled over 3,000 citizens to serve as AmeriCorps members. AmeriCorps members have increased academic achievements of 82,278 students through one-on-one and small group tutoring and have provided school success programs to 22,697 in jeopardy of failing. During their service time, members have recruited a total of 91,099 volunteers who have contributed 408,885 hours of service to Keystone SMILES AmeriCorps programs.
