You will work directly with school-age youth to help them reach their academic potential. You will help shape their futures through school or after school based programs. You will work hand in hand with teachers or after-school personnel to help your youth complete their homework or classwork. You will guide them as they learn the value of service projects to improve their community.

TERM OF SERVICE - January 13, 2020 – June 20, 2020 (900 hours) or
January 13, 2020 – August 8, 2020 (1200 hours)
HOURS -About 42 hours per week
LIVING ALLOWANCE - $8,400 for900 hr term ($700 every two weeks before taxes) or $11,200 for 1200 hr term ( $700 every two weeks before taxes)
EDUCATION AWARD - $ 3047.50 (900 hr.) or $ 4,266.50 (1200 hr.)
The Education Award can be used to pay for the costs of attending a qualified institution of higher education or to pay back qualified student loans. Received upon successful completion of term of service.
FORBEARANCE - Qualified student loans typically can be placed into forbearance if they are federally backed, in your name, and not in default.
PAYMENT OF INTEREST - All or a portion of the interest on student loans placed in forbearance that accrued during the term of service is paid if the member successfully completes the term of service.
HEALTH INSURANCE - Available to full time members at no cost to the member
CHILD CARE SUBSIDY - Available to full time members who meet certain criteria
REQUIREMENTS - Applicants must be at least 19 years of age, have previous experience working with children, and pass a series of clearances.
We're looking for members who are not only able to have fun with kids on their level but who are also able to be professional and inspirational role models. This is a chance to help youth grow and to grow yourself. You will have fun, but you also will have challenges to overcome. If you're an energetic, committed individual who relishes the feeling of accomplishment after an exhausting day running around with kids, this is the position for you!
