Description

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA will identify and secure sustainable recurring funding sources sufficient to cover direct and in-direct costs required for administrative operations, programs and initiatives. The grant writer will meet with current and potential community partners, supporters and residents about funding opportunities and provide updates on existing projects to increase community engagement, identify new avenues of sustainable funding for the organization through research and grant writing and develop new systems to cultivate, engage and recognize funders, make recommendations on grantor/donor management systems and operating procedures, assist with community engagement events and identify strategies to strengthen organization’s fiscal position and assist with efforts to raise awareness of the historic Dunbar neighborhood and HCNA brand through fund development efforts.
