Description

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA will develop and implement a strategic plan to establish a neighborhood endowment fund that supports development, maintenance and programming at Yvonne Starks Wilson Park. Activities will include, but not be limited to sending emails to partner organizations and neighborhood supporters, attending meetings of the park foundation, meeting with current and former residents to gather information related to park history and traditions with community stakeholders, creating a calendar of events to share with state and local officials, librarians, historians, residents and other stakeholders to promote fundraising events and programs in and for the benefit of the park, planning fundraising events, conducting information sessions that promote park history, legacy of the park’s namesake and avenues to support ongoing park activities.
